Park Neurosciences Service is one of the leaders in providing world class neurosurgical and neurological facilities in Eastern India for decades.

This institute has specialized neurosurgeons to perform Paediatric neurosurgery, all forms of Spine surgeries, neurooncology and neurovascular surgeries.

The Park Clinic is a Super Speciality Hospital that had succeeded Park Nursing Home. It is run by a charitable society, The Park Medical Research & Welfare Society (P.M.R.W.S.) and has its strengths in the field of Paediatrics, Paediatric surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Endocrinology, Urology, Haematology, Haemato-oncology, Ophthalmology, G.I. surgery, Spinal surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as General medicine & General surgery.

In May 2009, the Park Children Centre for Treatment & Research merged with the Park Medical Research Society to form a new amalgamated society called The Park Medical Research & Welfare Society.

Employees of Public Sector / Corporate Houses may avail exemption from paying taxes ender section 17 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for treatment of their next of kin at this Hospital. Necessary certificates are provided to settle the claims in their office.

Vision and Mission

This is the new avatar of Park Nursing Home which happened to be the first private medical institution set up in Calcutta way back in pre-independent India of the 1930’s. The owners decided to hand over the property to a charitable trust called the Park Medical Research & Welfare Society to run and develop a modern super speciality hospital. This new hospital called Park Clinic encompasses a number of departments, one of the most pre-dominant of which is the Park Neuroscience Services – the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery. The aim of this department is to provide state of the art neurosurgical and neurological care to the community at large.

The model of the hospital has always been that there are a few luxury beds and a larger number of average and even a larger number of low-cost beds, so that this state-of-the-art treatment can be made available at the lowest possible cost. Since, this hospital is not run-on corporate lines and is not a profit institution, it is possible to offer low cost and even no cost treatment to a large number of really poor and deserving patients. Yet there is no compromise on modern infrastructure – the neurosurgery department boasts the only state of the art artificial intelligence aided operating microscope in Eastern India. It was also the first department to start neuro navigation, and is the centre of teaching of intra-operative neuro monitoring for the whole country.
